The Sound of Simplicity
Funny thing happened on the way home yesterday. While stopped at a red light, I decided for the first time to turn the car radio off. I'm not even sure what I was listening to at the time but it was enough to say enough. With the windows rolled up, cars whizzing by, I actually heard the sound of a leaf rustling past my car. A sound I'd long forgotten since my life has seemingly become so hectic. A sound I'm certain I would not have heard had I not made the decision to just simply turn off the radio. I'm not saying that the sound of a leaf is so important but I am saying that admidst all the craziness of our lives, sometimes we simply need to stop and listen to the sound of leaves rustling.
