Happy New Year To Dreams!!

What a great thing to still have breath as a new year rolls around. I mean what a blessing to once again renew or refresh those dreams and goals that we put on the backburner last year. It really doesn't matter what kept us from achieving those dreams or pursuing those dreams full force...Hold on. Yes it does matter. Because if we take those same things into 2007 then those dreams once again will take backseat. So think about it. Let's take a look at those things that possibly hinder us from pursuing our goals and dreams. Maybe it was your current job. You really wanted to start that landscaping business last year but your job drained you and you just couldn't muster up the energy to actively pursue the dream of owning a landscaping business. Let's take this even further. You absolutely love landscaping. You get a sense of fulfillment out of seeing your work come to being that no other activity can bring. The dirt, sweat and energy you put into designing, cutting, planting and nurturing, leaves you with a sense of overwhelming achievement. But you work a 9-5. A job that gives you no satisfaction and all you can think about is the day you say "I quit”. Of course you still need your job, because your bills just don't magically get paid. Let’s go back to the initial question. What kept you from pursuing actively your dream of a owning your own landscaping business? Your job. Now take inventory of 2006 and figure out out exactly how many hours in a day you worked. Perhaps 8 hours. You have 16 left. Let's say you ran errands, did chores, dinner, and spent time with your family. I'll give those 4 hours. You now have 12 hours left. Now remember you have a dream of starting your business. Sounds like some sacrifice is likely to come in here. Your favorite TV show, one hour. What was that? You have three? In one day? Let's lose that TV time for the sake of the business. Yes!!! We've gained 3 hours!!! Let's see. How about using that to plan and work getting additional contracts. Still have 9 hours left.  6-7 hours is all you really need for sleep so use the remaining 2-3 hours meditating, exercising, and praying. It's about the business! And achieving those dreams and goals you set out for yourself. Once these things are set into motion, the 9-5 will be a distant memory and you will find yourself living the dream.

Wow, the power of words. If we would all just live each day as if it where the best day of our life....it would gravitate us into the next day...and the next....moving us one day closer to the dream. Thank you.....for inspiration. Angela
